# Commit and reconcile an import

**Summary:** Lock a reviewed snapshot, commit it transactionally, reconcile it, and activate the accepted baseline. Operational records are created or matched once…  
**Who can do this:** Organization owners, Managers  
**Required access:** `imports.manage`  
**Where in PositiveForm:** `/settings/imports/:jobId/reconciliation`  
**Status:** Draft: not yet verified against a deployed PositiveForm build. Labels may differ.

> Draft: commit requires a validated job with no blocking errors. Full validation still depends on uploading sample files (IMP-002), which headed acceptance cannot automate while upload is policy-blocked.

## Who this is for

Migration staff finishing a validated import job.

## Before you begin

- An import job exists ([Start a studio import](https://positiveform.com/guides/imports/start-import/)).
- Validation is clear ([Upload, map, validate, and review import data](https://positiveform.com/guides/imports/validate-import/)).

## Steps

1. Open the import job from **Data imports**.
2. Continue to reconciliation/commit when validation is clear.
3. Review matches and new records carefully.
4. Commit only when the review snapshot is correct.

## Expected outcome

Operational records are created or matched once; activation sends no bills,
invitations, or messages.

not land, use [Discard or safely roll back an import](https://positiveform.com/guides/imports/discard-rollback-import/).
