Who this is for
Owners, managers, and staff whose account belongs to more than one PositiveForm organization.
Required access: membership in both the current and destination organizations.
Before you begin
- Confirm that the account belongs to at least two active organizations.
- Finish or cancel any unsaved form before switching. Switching unmounts an open editor, so PositiveForm asks you to confirm discarding unsaved work before it changes anything.
Steps
- In the application sidebar, open the organization selector directly below the organization name and logo. It carries a building icon and the name of the organization you are in now. On a phone there is no sidebar, so the same control sits at the left of the header.
- Under Organizations, select the destination organization. A check mark shows the current one. An organization marked Pending deletion cannot be selected.
- Wait for the full-screen Switching to
… state to finish. PositiveForm reloads your account and the destination organization's locations before the console comes back. - Confirm that the sidebar brand and organization selector show the selected organization.
- Before editing anything, confirm that dashboard counts and visible records belong to the selected organization.
The same menu ends with New organization, which opens organization setup and returns you to this page afterwards.
Expected outcome
The console reloads in the selected tenant. The shell and organization-scoped data identify the destination organization, with no records retained from the previous tenant.
Your location choice does not survive the switch: a location belongs to one organization, so the selection is cleared and the destination opens on your home location there, or on that organization's default location.
Each browser tab keeps its own organization and location, so a second tab left open in the previous organization stays there and is unaffected.
Recovery
- If the organization is missing, ask its owner to confirm your staff access. The menu lists every organization your account belongs to, so it is present even when you belong to only one.
- If it is marked Pending deletion, do not try to work around the disabled option; contact the organization owner.
- If the switch fails, PositiveForm shows Could not switch organizations with the server's response. Click Retry. Nothing was changed in either organization.
- If the brand changes but old organization data remains visible, stop work, switch back, and contact PositiveForm support urgently.
